Since graduating from Yale University with an MBA, I became a business analyst in New York City. In February 2015, had the amazing opportunity interning and working for JPMorgan Chase & Co where I specialized in cost saving solutions and risk management. In January 2016, I was a finalist for the Business Analyst of the Year award. The award is sponsored by AssistKD and IIBA UK and recognizes excellence in business analysis.

As a business analyst, my job is to identify, assess, and document business requirements. I also recommend business priorities and advise the business on options, risks, and costs. I also analyze the impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases, functional specification. I am currently seeking other business opportunities in New York City.

    To prepare Analysts from all backgrounds, I attended a three-week training program over the summer designed to cover the fundamentals of accounting and financial statement analysis, modeling and corporate valuation. I also received intensive on-the-job training from peers and managers.

What are your strengths?
I am knowledgeable in assisting teams to ensure requirements are translated to test plans and implement new functionalities by running training sessions, demos and documentation development. I also have experience in participating in Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis and High Risk reviews. As well as participating in Testing, Implementation Planning and Execution of complex applications. I can also translate business requirements into IT application impacts and business process impacts.
What type of job are you currently seeking?
I hope to find new business opportunities and to work with smart mentors I can learn from. I aspire to work with companies that analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases, functional specification and source to target mappings to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews.
Why did you choose your profession?
I've always been fascinated with identifying, assessing, and documenting business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs. It is my job to conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.

Do you ever get the feeling life is lived too quickly? Perhaps, it’s a byproduct of technology and instant gratification. Either way, I wonder if we’d be doing ourselves a favor if we just slowed down a bit.

Personally, I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to slow down. I enjoy living fast. It’s an exciting world out there just waiting to be explored! But I’ve found glimpses of a life lived slower and those glimpses have been windows into a more satisfied, more intentional life.
